OSU Extension Service Douglas County Small Farms is hosting a new weekend gardening course. “Weekend Warriors” will be held every other Saturday morning, February 7 through April 18th, 2026.

This into-to-gardening is geared towards anyone interested in learning how to start, plan, and maintain their own garden. Over the course of 6 sessions the participants will acquire the knowledge they need to be a successful weekend warrior in their own backyards. The culmination of the series will be a group landscape improvement project were they’ll get to put what they learned into practice.

With educational sessions led by OSU Faculty and trained Master Gardener volunteers, participants will receive a well-rounded introduction to sustainable gardening.
